What should I wear?
Wear what you would wear for an important meeting. Solid colours photograph better than busy patterns, white can wash out under studio lights, and simple jewellery keeps the focus on your face.
What if I’m not comfortable in front of the camera?
Most people are not comfortable in front of a camera, so you are in good company. I direct the poses and the expressions, and we keep going until you see one you like. You do not need to bring any camera skills, that is my half of the job.
How do I get the photos?
Through a Google Drive link, with the edited high-resolution files ready to download for print and web.
What is the cancellation policy?
It depends on the studio. Whitechapel refunds your deposit if you cancel or reschedule three days ahead. Poplar needs a week, and with less notice the deposit is not refundable. Those are the studios’ terms rather than mine, so I cannot bend them.
When do the photos arrive?
You pick your favourites from a proofing gallery, and the retouched files come back within seven working days of your selection. Usually sooner.
A short message is enough. I reply within one business day.
